Privacy Policy – Strive Counselling
Strive Counselling is the professional name under which counselling services are provided by Enikő Csilla Takácsy, who acts as the data controller. I process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR. I do not collect personal data directly through this website. In order to receive counselling services, you are required to provide personal data via email or through a secure online intake form (Google Forms). This includes your name, email address, address and information necessary for counselling, such as details about your situation, relationships, personal history, losses, family background, and counselling goals.
I use your data to respond to enquiries, arrange and provide counselling services, and maintain necessary professional records, including invoicing and compliance with legal obligations. The legal basis for processing is your consent, the necessity of processing for the provision of counselling services, and legal obligations. This includes contact and billing details, including your address where required for invoicing and tax purposes. If counselling takes place, I may process sensitive personal data, including health-related information, strictly for the purpose of providing appropriate support.
I store your data securely on password-protected devices and in protected cloud storage. Clinical notes are recorded in a coded (pseudonymised) form, meaning identifying information is replaced with codes. Only I can link these codes back to you. I retain your data for up to 3 years after the end of our work together, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
In clinical supervision, I may discuss anonymised or pseudonymised material. No identifiable personal data is shared.
Confidentiality applies at all times, but may be limited where required by law or in situations involving serious risk of harm to you or others.
I do not share your personal data with third parties unless required by law or necessary to protect vital interests. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Providing your data is necessary in order to receive services.
